発行日:1975年10月31日Published: October 31, 1975
The purpose of this article is to present a new material to study a history of geography in the Meiji–Taisho era through a bibliographic survey with particular reference to Shigetaka Shiga (1863–1927), a great thinker of enlightenment, and his geographic works. A bibliography of Shiga's geographic works was compiled, to which bibliographic annotations are added. Most of the works were located in large libraries and various editions and versions were identified. Upon these findings the position of Shiga's “Geograph” was discussed.
