He tries to verify the method which was found useful in the case of categorizing and forming indexing terms. This method is to divide titles of journal articles into the smallest unit words to find the frequency of use of each unit word, and to get the representative word by calculating the above data. Then the category is designed by analyzing words connected with the representative word among titles, and each word is categorized and formed into indexing terms.
Especially, he clarifies the characteristics of titles and their words, since they are the source of the method. And he gains the ratio of speech and noun, stability of compound word, form of compound, etc.
